MARIO by a mile. c'mon he's one of the most recognizable characters in all of gaming. While Sonic did a good job being Sega's poster boy during the 90s, the (gaming) quality of Sonic games over the years have gone down the toilet. I mean, Sonic Riders???? pleez. Plumber all the wayyyyy

Mario comes out as the clear winner here, he's like the energizer bunny he keeps going and going and going. Plus he's been around since the 80's, yeh sonic is faster but hey the tortoise always wins the race and besides italian food is awesome.
