Then solve for x.

4x+3*0+24=0 <=>
4x+24=0
now add -24 to each side of the expression and get
4x+24+(-24)=-24<=>
4x=-24
now divide with 4 or thats the same multiply with 1/4 on each side of the expression and get

x=- 24/4= -6
