Just plug 0 in the function whenever you see y.

4x + 3(0) + 24 = 0
4x + 0 + 24 = 0

Then solve for x.

4x = -24
x = -6

If 4x + 3y + 24 = 0 then when y = 0 --> x =
Ok first let y=o in the expression and get
4x+3*0+24=0 <=>
4x+24=0
now add -24 to each side of the expression and get
4x+24+(-24)=-24<=>
4x=-24
now divide with 4 or thats the same multiply with 1/4 on each side of the expression and get
4x*1/4=-24*1/4<=>
x=- 24/4= -6
============

Remember this: you can add, subtract and multiply with any number you want as long as you do it on both side of the expression.

When y=0, 3*y=3*0=0
Therefore, 4x+3y+24=0 is the same as 4x + 24=0 since 3y is 0.
Therefore, all you need to do now is solve 4x+24=0.
Start by subtracting 24 from each side: 4x=-24; next just divide both sides by 4: x=-6.

If 4x + 3y + 24 = 0 then when y = 0 --> x =

when y-->0 this just becomes
4x=24
x=6

Plug in y=0 to get 4x+3*0+24=0 =>
4x+24 = 0
4x = -24
x=-6

4x + 3y + 24 = 0
When y=0, you end up with
4x + 3(0) + 24 = 0
Therefore
4x + 24 = 0
You substract 24 on both sides
4x + 24 - 24 = 0 - 24

4x = -24
You divide both sides by 4
4x/4 = -24/4
You end up with
x = -6
