very HARD math!?

For every Mynci, there are seven Hissis. For every Hissi, there are seven Bori. For every Hissi, there are seven Ixi. For every Ixi, there are seventeen Kyriis. For every Kyrii, there are seven Eyries. Every pet has six Kimbis. Every Kimbi has seven Itchis.

How many Itchis are there total?

You forgot to mention how many Myncis there are... can we assume seven?

Let's count pets first... once we do we can multiply by 42 (six Kimbis times seven Itchis). I also assume that Kimbis and Itchis are *not* pets otherwise you would recurse forever...

Myncis = 7
Hissis = 7 * 7 = 49
Bori = 7 * 49 = 343
(Note: since Ixis are also based on Hissis, you should have the same number as Bori.)
Ixi = 7 * 49 = 343
Kyrii = 17 * 343 = 5,831
Eyries = 7 * 5,831 = 40,817

Adding that all up you get:
7 + 49 + 343 + 343 + 5,831 + 40,817 = 47,390 pets. Since I don't know Neopets, I just have to again assume that those are all pets, right?

Now for Kimbis we have:
6 * 47,390 = 284,340 Kimbis

And for Itchis we have:
7 * 284,340 = 1,990,380 Itchis

Things to look out for:
1) Bori and Ixi are both based on Hissis, so they have the same number.
2) Don't overlook the seventeen... everything else is multiplying by seven, but they threw in a seventeen to mess you up.
3) You have to count all the pets first before counting the Kimbis and Itchis, since you said every pet noted before has six Kimbis with seven Itchis.

The answer is 1,990,380 Itchis

By the way, you never mentioned the starting number of Mynci, so if there aren't seven, this number will be off. But from reading other people asking about Neopets, there are 7 Mynci...

This is a very tricky question because the first part does not matter at all. Also, you need to know how many pets there are.

But you do know that there are seven Itchis in one Kimbi. Each pet has six Kimbis, therefore you know that there are 7x6 or 42 Kimbis for each pet.

If you are ever told the number of pets, multiply that by 42 to get your answer!
