Everyone I try to talk to about this show, if they haven't been watching it since the beginning they're like "oh that show is stupid who wants to watch a bunch of people stranded on an island like survivor". One of my co-workers just said "I don't like reality TV" when i asked if he watches it. HUH???

There are so many layers... so much going on... I don't get it why do people think it's JUST about being stranded on an island??

I watched the pilot of this show and for the first 15 minutes my jaw was hanging by a thread. I have never seen a more intense, gripping sequence in my life. As an actor and budding filmmaker, I was amazed by the skill of the writers, actors, director, camera crew, f/x peeps, and composer to fill the screen with images of a plane crash aftermath. The woman screaming and Dom Monaghan wandering around clueless were brave,

effective choices to show the absurd realities of trauma. And just when it can't get any worse, women start having babies and things start blowing up. And then the trees are crushed by some...thing....which the characters avoid for the next 45 minutes.

While some may say this is unrealistic and gimmicky, I maintain that this is a brave, bold choice for ABC and like other bold movies and shows, if given the chance it will change the art. I can't wait for next week.

I feel the exact same way! I have recently made my WHOLE immediate family aware of this show & got them the dvd sets of Season 1 & 2 for them to watch it. When they first heard about it, they said I don't feel like watching a sci-fi. I didn't even know that was it's category, but I let them know THIS is NO ordinary show. This is well-written, exciting, and keeps you watching for days. One of my brothers said he watched some episodes before, but didn't like it because all the characters. That was until I sent him the first & second season and now he's addicted! I think the people who haven't watched it before can't just get into the story by this season because there's so much they've missed & most people are just misinformed. Even though I don't really like the Sci-Fi genre this is far from BattleStar Galactic meets Survivor. This is more like romantic, adventure, mystery, thriller and many more all rolled up in one! I love LOST!

I enjoy watching Lost. At first, none of my sisters wanted to watch Lost, but I told them to watch the very first episode and if they did not like it then fine, don't watch it. But now, all three of my sisters are addicted to Lost. Then came along my dad and now he is a huge fan. My dad told my uncle to watch Lost and he said no, but my dad got my cousin watching the show and now he is addicted like us. The first season was the best. I think that season 2 was okay. Now with season 3 and looking to be promising. Lost has lost a lot of viewers because they kept showing re-runs, but the TRUE Lost fans stayed put. Waited week after week to see what happens. If people give it a chance, they will enjoy it. The thing is that people do not want to wait years to find about what is exactly happening on the island. It is already on their third season and we still don't know what is happening. Give Lost a chance people! You will like it.

They are the loosers who didn't begin watching Lost.
They had so many opportunities to get caught up.
I'm sorry, but I do tape it and re-watch it. There are so many clues. I think its the most fascinating show.
We are the elite.

And for the other survivor show, here's the update (lol):

Johnathan and Candice had the chance to move to Raru tribe (loosers!)

Aitu tribe is now 4 ...Yul, Sundra, Ozzy and Becky. They won immunity this week!!!!!!

Raru tribe voted Brad off.

yeah, theres a lot going on. but what i dont like about it, is that they start something up, and they dont end it. there are so many loose ropes, and the director does not even no where this show is going. So, its kind of funny that way....
im getting a lil less interested as the show goes on.....

I know! I was trying to convince someone at school today its more than cute people on an island-I'm totally addicted to it. there's mystery, action, romance, humour, more mystery, supernatural elements, adventure...its the best show on TV-February seems so far away...

It's about the thinnest plot line ever stretched out until no one can stand watching it any more!
