One( Is The Lonliest Number)
Three Dog Night
(Originally written and performed by H. Nilsson)

One is the lonliest number
That you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the lonliest number since the number one
No is the saddest experience you'll ever know
Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know
Cause one is the loneliest that you'll ever know
One is the loneliest number even worse than two.

It's just no good anymore
Since you went away
Now I spend my time just makin' rhymes of yesterday

One is the loneliest number
One is the loneliest number
One is the loneliest number
Since you went away
Since you went away

One is the loneliest number
One is the loneliest number
One is the loneliest number
Since you went away

It's just no good anymore
Since you went away
Now I spend my time just makin' rhymes of yesterday

One is the loneliest number
One is the loneliest number
One is the loneliest number since you went away...

Actually, while Three Dog Night made this song famous, Harry Nilsson wrote it (and he has a recording of it too, though not as well known, of course as the version by Three Dog Night).

The title is simply "One"

I think you can get at least the Three Dog Night version on ITunes, but I'm not positive.

That is an OLD song...

It's called ONE. Written by Harry Nilsson but the most famous version (performance of that song) is probably the one recorded by Three Dog Night.

Here's a link to the lyrics:

I'm sure if you google some more, you could probably find the sound file somewhere.

Song Name: "One"
Artist: Three Dog Night, John Farnham, Redefined

Note: It looks as though several Artists have recorded this song, so... I am not sure who is singing the one (pun intended) you have heard. From the release dates, I suspect that Three Dog Night is the original artist.

I believe it's called "One", and I think it's by "Three Dog Night". It was popular in the '60's.
