I love dove's "deep moisture" daily sunscreen
You should also start washing your face twice a day....if you get bad breakouts, you could end up with scars
for even skin tone, exfoliate at least a couple of times a week....with a face scrub (may have to get a slightly expensive brand for a good one...sephora has some good ones, but I can't remember the brands right now!), or try a buff puff
maybe try an eye gel.....if you use eye cream before bed, it can make your eyes puffy the next day
drinking lots of water and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and healthy oils (nuts, fish, olive oil) is good for your skin
your good habits and skin tone will definitely benefit you!

Products that are low in pH. The higher the pH levels, the more the product will dry your skin out. Also, spf 15 for faces is sufficiant for sunblock. Anything higher, stronger chemicals are involved and you're asking for skin irritations. Exfoliate, twice a day, you can use a liquid cleanser and a teaspoon of sugar mixed in. I'm in the skin care industry, it sounds bizarre, but it works. The sugar in the cleanser is a natural ingrediant, and breaks the dead skin cells down, and in the process, break down themselves, which prevents abrasions, that some stronger exfoliants can cause, like crushed peach pits .. or similar. Use your hands to wash your face, not a sponge or washcloth, they're abrasive and irritate the skin and stimulate pores for breakouts.
Good skin is genetic, too. If you mother had younger looking skin, most likely you will also.
Neutrogena has a great skin care line out right. It's inexpensive and good clean products. Salon products are good, but tend to be on the pricey side. It's all about perception of value.

Any sunscreen with Avobenzone, Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide. Use daily, even if it's cloudy or winter. Neutrogena, L'Oreal and Coppertone are a few.
Wash your face every night with a cleanser made for your skin type. Use moisturizer only on the dry spots and under your eyes.
I'm 49 and my skin is terribly sun damaged. You are smart to take care now. Also, you may have some damage from your earlier years, but doing something now will make a big difference. When you have children, start using sunscreen when they are babies.

try to get sth with vitamin A,C and E, vit. E protect the skin from free radicals and pollutions, and the other 2 is a very good anti-aging combination that also moisturise and even skin tone.. it will be ideal to get sth with SPF, mini um 15 for normal day, if cant find any, try to apply sunscreen after lotion, this is what i am doing, cos i find lotion with SPF are usually quite oily which i think for you age you would prefer both moist and fresh.. and make sure you get enough sleep and try to go to bed b4 11 which i promise will have greater effect then applying a pot of 100 pounds lotion.

Don't listen to all that crap, or buy a bunch of stuff....Shelly seemed to know whats going on. I'm 52 and am told I look 10 years younger (my boyfriend is, in-fact). Eat good and wash with just a good moisturizing soap such as Dove or Camay then use a unperfumed moisturizing vitamin E creme. I wear no face make-up as this clogs pores. I have been doing this same regimine since I was a teenager and believe me, it works. I recently read that this is what Sophia Loren does.....and look at her...shes in her 70's.

Since you don't really have a regular skin care routine, my suggestion would be to go to a reputable aesthetician at a day spa for a good facial. The aesthetician can evaluate your skin, help you develop a skin care routine that is right for you and help you maintain it and adjust it as needed for aging, seasonal factors, lifestyle factors, etc. As for the sunscreen, yes, you definitely need to use one every day regardless of your skin pigmentation. Skin cancer is caused by sun exposure over time, period, no matter what your skin color.

A face lotion with SPF 15 should do the trick. Just get in the habit of washing your face with a gentle soap in the morning (and at night) and putting on some lotion. (rub the extra into your hands - the backs of your hands get a lot more sun than you think)

One product I use religiously & am always recommending is philosophy: purity made simple for morning & night wash, hope in a jar moisturizer & Micordelivery peel for microdermabrasion. I'm also 22 and I feel my skin has improved since using it 2 years ago.
