Is there a place in Las Vegas where one can do auto racing, do they have circuits where you can race ?

Of course they do, everything from indoor kart racing to driving a 600hp NASCAR ...

For the NASCAR experience - 1-800-BE-PETTY located at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, they have ride-a-longs or you can drive a 600hp race car yourself, anything from 8 to 80 laps available -

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is about 10-15 miles outside of Las Vegas (Going I-15 N), and is going through some remodeling right now. But I do know that there were races held for locals or anyone who wanted to drag race that is there. Its called Midnight Madness and was held on certain Fridays. You have to call to check though.
There's also the R. Petty NASCAR experience that's held in the same vicinity.
