I'm in the uk, and there are many cultural differences that re seemingly minor but actually quite significant in comparison to the US, Canada and Australia.

I have to dispute the claim about not having 'freedoms' though. We are just as free in the UK as you are in the US, in some instances even more so.

An example of cultural difference would have to be the public display of emotion. Generally speaking, here in the uk we are more reserved than other english speaking countries. We don't like to make a fuss and rarely complain about poor service. However, this is changing and we are becoming more 'Americanised'

Another cultural difference is our attitude to guns. We do not find it acceptable to own a gun here (not least because it is illegal) and wouldn't want it anyother way.

Spiritually we also differ. We are far less openly religous here. Atheists (in general) outnumber christians and it's generally accepted that atheism is an acceptable beleif system.

Those are but a few of the more general differences, but without knowing a specific area of question it's hard to be more specific.

Lets face it, this is a pretty dumb question really, but surely the question should actually be "why are other English speaking countries different from the UK, when the UK gave English to them?"

Canada's form of government is the parliamentary system with the Queen of England as the ceremonial head of government. She appears on all of our money. We also have 2 official languages French and English. Those are two differences.
I hope that helps.

Some countries have different dialects within them. In Canada we have those from Newfoundland that speak a different dialect than other parts of Canada.

Generally they have more freedom, better education. They are not always attacking other countries that disagree with them, or have something they want. More social justice and less poverty. Better health care. Less racism (although, by the sound of it, the UK is catching up).
