My Epson CX6400 Printer will only print the color "CYAN"?

Question

I have re-installed the printer and cleaned the heads but it will only print items in the CYAN color. Leaves blank spaces where any color other than cyan is at on orginal.

All of the other 3 ink cartridges are full. They all worked during a printing session and then quit.

Assume you have checked your print cartridges? If three colors in the one cartridge you need maybe to replace it as the yellow and red are all gone?

My printers have done this before, the problem is NOT with the ink cartridges themselves, but either the printer or the computer.

I haven't found any real solution to this except to replace ALL the cartridges that don't work, even if they're full. Make sure the printer's on when you do this. Then if it asks you did you replace them, say, of course, yes you did.

This happened to me only when I refilled cartridges, so if the ones you're using that malfunctioned were refilled cartridges, then your printer has a problem with refills. Some printers are like that.

Hope this helps, sorry I don't have a better solution, but like I said, it's the only one I've found works.

If it has been awhile since you have used the printer you have clogged print heads. Unfortunately the only way to remedy this is to do a number of print head cleanings (this will be outlined in your manual) Yes it will use ink, however you do need to flush the print head in order to get the printer working again.

This may seem like the obvious answer - but the CX6400 has different cartridges.. Black, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta

It would appear that all teh cartridges are out but Cyan?

this means your printer cartrige has ran out of the other colours xD
