You can drown in an inch of water. You can drown in any amount even a teaspoon of water even.Sounds crazy but it's the truth.
Just keep safe and never go to an unguarded beach.
If you've taken swim lessons beforehand then you should be fine.
Most of the things people worry about never happen. So don't worry you'll be fine!! :) Have fun!

Safety First, make sure it is safe to attempt this with supervision.

Let's talk physics:

Average body density in 945 kg per cubic meters, and water density is about 1000 kg per cubic meters, which according to Archimedes, you will slightly float.
Your body will replace a volume of water that weighs the same as the part of body covered with water (probably covering your neck or covering your head), therefore you will most likely float with your nose covered with water.
I was as tall as you and weighed as much as you did, and I always floated after inhaling enough air possible (air lowers average body density), but my nose would still be covered with water.

Anybody can drown in any amount of water. If you're not completely sure of your abilities, then you should probably practice your swimming and become more confident of yourself before you attempt anything.

I'm a lifeguard and what we make the kids, or others that we think cant swim, do is a swim test ask the lifeguard their nearest to the slide if you can take a swim test.

Even the leanest human physique is slightly much less dense than water, so it is going to at last drift, regardless of the downward tension of a dive. although, the coach's physique of concepts seems to wish artwork. I remember how terrifying it replaced into for me. you ought to be calmed down and reassured. Being underwater isn't a clarification for panic. you ought to prepare conserving your breath, then prepare it which includes your face interior the water, interior the shallow end, till you grow to communicate approximately your ability. then you definately ought to prepare floating. (That replaced into my vast step forward, understanding that it ought to be carried out with my skinny physique.) an effortless "deadman's" drift (face down, palms and legs dangling) ought to persuade you which you have organic bouyancy. Then attempt a decrease back drift, palms and legs unfold, head tilted decrease back (important). The objective is to grow to be delicate interior the water. in case you panic, you have extra difficulty conserving air on your lungs and conserving afloat. in case you nevertheless be calm, you have extra effective administration and extra techniques. once you gain actual looking calmness, then you definately can evaluate leaping or diving. sure, you will flow to or close to the backside, yet you will clearly come decrease back up. it is going to take a number of seconds, even though it is going to take place. the key's to be confident of that. My first dive sounded like an eternity, yet I saved telling myself that I had lots of air and that i could at last wreck the exterior and should no longer panic, on account that there have been people looking at me. And so it occurred. (commencing my eyes could have helped too, yet i did no longer desire to risk possible distractions.) Counting seconds is possibly no longer all that clever, as you would be looking forward to a conservative bigger decrease once you ought to merely be looking forward to the step forward. it is possible you will no longer grow to be a brilliant swimmer, yet you could grow to be adequate. The dogs paddle is surely tiring and not very effective. you could additionally desire to study some thing called "drown-proofing", it extremely is meant to make deep water survivable even for non-swimmers.

no unless your hair gets stuck to something humans float on top and learn how to tred water. Also if you go under come up as fast as you can. If you can swim you can do it I think you can.

If you can float or doggy pattle to the side, yes.
If you are uncertain and there is no supervision I wouldn't attempt it until you are certain.
