The motherboard layouts are hidden by the makers, so only their authorized engineers can know that.

The Integrated Circuit chips are in standard packages, and the pinouts are part of the the data sheet by the makers. Most makers like TI, Sprague, Intel, Sylvania, Motorola, etc. have agreed to a common pinout for the different chips. So, the ground and power for the chip are on the first and last pins.

Pulling the backup clock and bios battery for a count of ten seconds kills the setup, and reverts to factory defaults.

The part manufacturer should have schematics on their website for the pin configurations pin one is always marked. As far as the schematics of the mother board that is something that is confidential and the mother board maker would never release the plans.

For the MOBOs...go to the manufacturers website.

For the laptops, pull the battery for a count of ten then reinsert it. Resets to default settings.
