Professional soccer will never catch on here (USA). Mainly because it doesn't play well on TV. You watch people running around the field for three hours, only to see the game end in a 0-0 tie. So you have one of those free-throw, kick off things to determine a winner, that has little relationship to the core game itself.
It would be like if an American football Super Bowl ended in a tie at the end of regulation time, rather than going in to overtime/sudden death extension of the game, you went to a pass/punt/kick game decider. Or, as in baseball, you went to a home run derby if you're tied at the end of 9 innings.
I'm not knocking soccer and all those who live by it, I'm just saying it's a cultural thing as to why it can't catch on here in the States.

In my school, soccer is a way of life! My entire class watches the MLS, World Cup, but I'm the only one with the video games!

In my experience, the only times that I was able to talk about Football and the WC is when I was actually wearing my Football jersey, France Zidane #10. It's a nice way to start a conversation, I'm wearing a Breeders' Cup ladies' sweater now and, if I go out (I'll have to), I might meet someone who watched the races. I love to talk with strangers on the street, people are very interesting.

My friends and I started really paying attention to soccer during this World Cup, and now we talk about soccer almost as much as we can.
Advice to you: Try to get some of your friends hooked on soccer and talk to them about it.

Well, in New York City, it isn't that hard because there are a good number of people that like soccer so for me that isn't much of a problem. It's hard to talk with Americans about it though.

I left my keys along with her yet my cats are consistently at hers in the event that they are at mine so they have been between homes as customary besides! you ought to the two ensure you have adequate cat foodstuff to final in case you're away or depart the guy some money so they could purchase any if from now on is mandatory. I agree nonetheless with reference to the safeguard, it has taken this lots time to construct your cat's have confidence you do no longer prefer to risk loosing it and having to benefit it returned and kittie probably feeling rejected. good success, wish you have the skill to form something out

Me!
There's a kid at my school who pretend to be Bristish that follows it but he wants to punch every Man U fan in the face. It's actually kind of amusing and makes me glad I'm not a Man U fan.
I scolded my ex boyfriend a while back for not knowing what the World Cup was.

I know, I am hispanic, and the only people that know soccer are other hispanics. And white people and black people always asume that we are MEXICANS!! I am not MEXICAN but I love soccer. And then they Say " That is not Football! This is Football!" Right, they only kick the ball like 4 times a game.
