If Lamsquarter is so nutritous why can't we buy it in the grocery store?

Lambsquarter (Chenopodium album) has a limited time when it tastes like more than a green weed. When picked young, it is tasty and adds flavor to what rural folk call "spring greens."

Some rural Farmers Markets do have this and other "greens" available in season. Most city folk do not know what it is and would not buy it.

Being known as a weed is not helping the matter.

It's related to a Geranium - you should be able to find it at places which specialize in herbs.
