I went into a riverside cafe and asked for a hot cob so I know of bobs disappointment.

Definitely a bad case of false advertising.

He should have asked for meat pie with Grevy and make the pudding a Little otter.

Sounds like the sort of stuff you'd get if you insulted the waiter/ess. A bit like if you insult the waiter/ess in a Thai restaurant, and you get a special ingredient, "Cream from Sum Yung Boy"
