I was in bed getting ready to go to sleep when my mom called me out to the living room. She told me that there was breaking news that Princess Diana had died in a car crash in Paris. I sat down on the couch with my mom and watched the live news report not believing it was real. It was one of those moments in life when you don't believe it is actually happening and your heart is beating super fast. At the time of her death I was about 14 and was a huge fan of hers. I collected everything on her and admired her so very much. It was a very sad evening for me because I remember thinking to myself that the world had lost a truly special person. And two young boys had lost their mother, which is the worst thing imaginable.

I was babysitting my cousins. I heard about the accident and had to explain to my cousins who she was and why it was important. I didn't hear that she died until I woke up to turn "Bambi" off. I was so tired that it hadn't really sunk in until I was watching the race on TV the next day and many of the teams had signs with various saying of how much she will be missed.

Thats easy I was in the back yard of my home in Christchurch New Zealand preparing to have a family barbecue. We were all in utter disbelief when we were first told. We were all fans of Diana so Im sure its a day that my entire family will remember always.
