I honestly don't care about Conservatives or Liberals. I care about Democrat or Republican. Yes, a good part of the House is now Democrats leaning Conservatively. I have no problem with that. That means that they are going to be a lot more careful with the spending. I mean...after all...they are still Democrats for crying out loud.

And speaking as a child of the 1990's, it has seemed that the Republicans have always won, minus Clinton. And when we still have people like Cheney, who was in Bush Sr.'s White House. And from what I have been told by my parents, Republicans haven't always won before the 1990's. And that is why in 1990, or was it 1992...I don't really remember, but that's why the Dems lost control of the Senate, then in 1994, we lost the House due to corruption. And the American people sensed corruption with the current Congress, and voted a lot of them out. It has now gone full circle. It has now happened to both parties with in the last 10 years. As I had said earlier...I was too young to remember what it was like under Bush Sr. and the early Clinton Years (mainly the first two years), but I am kind of happy about it now, but that's because I actually know somewhat about what is going on. I don't claim to know everything, I don't think anyone does, and anyone who says they do are lying to you.

But I do think the Republicans are a little too Arrogant. I think they aren't so much now as they were, and I do believe that was their downfall. I just hope that the Dems don't let America down.

And yes, the Dems on here, myself included, are already getting arrogant. It does happen on both sides, but here lately, we have really only seen the Republican side of it...but give it time...the arrogant side of the Democrats will shine through, I'm almost sure of it.

And as much as I would like to see a Dem Senate, a Dem Hose, and a Dem White House...I am reminded of Jean- Jacque Rousseau's words, and I Will end on those words. "It is unnatural for a majority to rule, for a majority can seldom be organized and united for specific action, and a minority can."- Jean- Jacque Rousseau

As a republican, I am not mad nor am I upset that the Dem's won as they did. I was around when the Dem's had control of Congress and nothing at all, for the good or bad of the country, got done. There was always stale mate. I have never thought republicans always win, because in my life time, they haven't always won. I am, however, dismayed. The democrats took over Congress, not with liberals, but with socially and fiscally conservative democrats. I find it extremely interesting that Dem's are celebrating the victory of conservatives to the degree they have.

I have heard a theory floating around, that Pelosi designed it this way so she could elect a far left leadership to Congress. I am not sure if I would agree or not. The fact is this, people are going to be who they are, no matter what deals are made or struck. I have no doubt these democrats are very aware the very same fate awaits them, that happened to the republicans, if they do not follow through on what they said they were that got them elected by their respective constituents. I really do think Pelosi is going to be in for a major surprise from her own party. Now, not only is she going to have to deal with the conservatives on the other side of the aisle, she is going to have to deal with the conservatives on her own side of the ailse.

The next two years should prove to be very interesting. Will Pelosi make it to re-election? Personally, I have my doubts. Will the democrats be able to get along with each other? We will have to wait and see. The vote Tuesday did not go against conservatism, it went against republicans. Conservatives were re-elected, the only change was party affiliation.

Registered Independent here!!!
No, I don't think so. I think people have forgotten 9/11...
Nobody is more tired of the war on terror than President Bush & his Whitehouse, but they also know that with Democraps in charge terrorism will ONLY get worse, but the idiot public thinks you can just walk away & they will leave us alone.....
AIN'T EVER GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!
Democrats are weak & spineless & terroists know this. If they have their way, life as we know it WILL BE OVER!!!!!!
If there had been a Democrat in office at 9/11 our lives would already be a thing of the past. Clinton was sending this country to h.e.l.l. in a hand basket & the Democrats were holding the handles.......
Both sides are ALWAYS mean spirited & there is a thin line between arrogance & confidence. I prefer the confidence. It shows strength. Arrogance shows insecurity....

Problem is that NOTHING will get done, just like when the Republicans are in control, until the Democrats & Republicans STOP THE P.I.S.S.I.N.G. contests!!!!!! When the Democrats are majority, the Republicans throw tantrums like 3 year olds & "I'M NOT GONNA DO THAT", EXACTLY like the Democrats do when they are not the majority. NOTHING gets done & the American people suffer. The political parties have NO IDEA what they are suppose to be doing because they cannot stop the political lines B.S.
Until they ALL learn to be blind to their political affiliations, NOTHING will change & NOTHING will get done. Eliminate the paries & you eliminate the lines....The house, the senate, etc. will be working for EVERYONE & NOT JUST FOR THEIR POLITICAL PARTIES & NOT TO JUST GET VOTES!!!!!!

All you aspect out have develop right into a lot less probable electorate than 2008. All polls of probable electorate are going Romney's way. don't be fooled through the media device nonetheless clinging and merchandising Obama's victory...that's no longer taking position. Any pollof "registered electorate" is incomprehensible...yet Democrits are spouting those as golden. the in hardship-free words precise polls are "probable electorate", and they tutor a diverse photo. They tutor Romney beating Obama, and that's in hardship-free words basically started. Obama has been operating for re-election for 4 years now, and 40 5% is the ultimate he can do. that's unhappy for libbies. wish and modify is coming. Romney 2012.

I don't think we've been too arrogant. I think the rest of the country has been too ignorant and depending on the liberal media for all thier info. What happened yesteday makes me sick, the country is going to get nothing done now because the two main decision making entities are at odds. Well, except now Bush is going to let illegal aliens come into the country, we may as well get rid of the illegal part.
I think if we hadn't had confidence over the last 12 years, we would have been denying our beliefs. We still need to stand up for what we believe in, even if the rest of the country is full on a bunch of ignorant idiots who will never listen.

Good question. I haven't seen much bravado by them since Tuesday. Just maybe some of them are ashamed of the way they acted in here before the election but I doubt it. I'm looking forward to reading some answers by your fellow republicans.

LOL I guess if you're young. I was around prior to 1994 when the Dems held the Congress for 20 years. The Reps have never "always won"

Well, being snippy, I would say the Republicans have always been mean-spirited and arrogant, but in a gesture of reconciliation and forgiveness, let us work together for a better America and put gloating and snideness aside.

Yes. Claiming to be Christians and having so much pride. Well, the people have now spoken. No matter what a party calls itself, it better stay true to what it says it stands for. The American people will not tolerate a blatant "we don't care what you say, we are in power, and we can do what we want to" attitude.

I'm only mean spirited to people who ask for it, and I've never been accused of arrogance by anyone who knows me.

As to people acting like idiots on here, plenty of that on BOTH sides.
