i put my hand into the cage to pet him and he BIT me, i took my finger out, in shock, and he was still attached to it and he flew with my finger and landed on the FLOOR!!!! he played dead and rolled on his back for a few moments, then he woke up and i noticed it was hard for him to walk (couldve been because he was on hard wood floor?) so i picked him up gave him a sunflower seed and put him right back in his cage, at first he just sat there breathing heavily but once iturned the light off left him alone for a few, i came back and he was walking on his wheel, and took more food from my hand. i was wondering how i would know if hes okay or not? anyone help please=( im feel so horrible right now

Don't feel bad accidents happen.
Your hamster is/was probably in shock. He is probably fine. (Hamsters are pretty hardy) If you are really nervous you can call your vet, and tell her what hap pend.

In all seriousness, he's probably alright. Hamsters do bite out of defense on occasion. If you really want to find out, take him to see your local vet and have him checked out. You'll feel better after doing so. BTW, I had numerous hamsters growing up as a kid. Still love them.

Probably knocked the wind out of the little guy...you just have to wait and see if he looks alright in a day or so...hard to tell with such little animals. Just observe him and see if he's acting normally...basically this is just wait and see advice. If something's wrong it'll probably die in a few days...that's just the way it is.

He could have gotten hurt when he flew on the ground , so take him for a vet check
