It's not only coming out, it's already got Peter Jackson at the helm. (the guy that did "Lord of the Rings", "King Kong", etc)..

He's got his WETA special effects people making stuff for it already. They're the ones that did all the armour/costumes/etc for Lord of the Rings. They're already even building Halo stuff that noone's allowed to talk about yet, but Bungie was impressed with.

He's also putting out a new Halo video game series, based on the movie.

The money thing basically boiled down to everyone coming to the table and talking about final profit percentages, and Microsoft wasn't willing to let Universal and Fox get greedy.. so they're gone from it, but 'cmon.. Microsoft has Bill Gates to foot the bill if need be, and the Halo 2 game was HUGE..

There's no storyline info yet.. but Bungie has their "halo bible" being used to ensure that everything works within the Halo universe. Based on rumors from folks that supposedly read the first draft, it followed the entire game series, including 3, but when asked what Halo 3 was gonna' be like, they had no answers at all.. So who knows.. I do know they're already on Script/Story #2 now and there's no official word on whether this version will be the one, or not. Rumors suggest that the guy everyone thinks is redoing the script, is actually only touching it up.

Peter Jackson and his group are still moving forward.. They'll get distribution rights with someone else.. However, they did decide to postpone until early/mid 2008.

I hate the rumors to the contrary.. some folks just dont understand how it all works, hear about the fox/universal deal falling apart and assume that it's all dead in the water.

the two systems are super yet once you're thinking approximately saving money they're going to the two fee you. the web for PS3 is only well worth it in case you have their plus service which further and further takes faraway from the loose element. The XBOX service is $60 a 12 months regardless of the undeniable fact that it is almost bullet info high quality sensible. everyone who claims in a distinctive way is the two uninformed or bias. The video games for PS3 are super yet it is only the exclusives. each thing else is designed with the 360 in techniques first so it seems only as stable if not extra useful there. Fallout is one such occasion the place equipment defects have been rampant through fact they took extra time with the 360 version. don't get me incorrect the PS3 is a calming equipment, yet once you talk how each thing is often an after theory there it is confusing to declare if interior the tip it would be extra decrease priced interior the long-term for you. standard, the 360 is a extra useful service in case you've gotten adequate money it. however the PS3 is super for Blu-rays and their exclusives like uncharted, gran turismo, and infamous 2, etc. nonetheless you are able to desire to question whether a handful of unique video games can justify a $3 hundred purchase whilst ninety% of what they have could be discovered on the console you already very own.

Peter Jackson is attached to this project. It has been delayed. I think due to money. www.imdb.com will have more info if you search the archives.
