The only reason some one should make a promise and not keep it is if something is on the line that is important but if more than one thing is important then what has to happen is deciding which one means most. There are reasons people make them and break them but they are only for selfish reasons.

some times a person makes an unkeepable promise, just to get away from some one, that just keeps at you about some thing, and wont back off. It even applies to an uncomfortable situation that you no longer want to be exposed to.

you tell a non truth just to get away.

At the time they make the promise they fully intend to keep it, then something happens, I don't know what, and they promise is forgotten.

idk. but ryt now for about 5 months ive been keeping a HUGE promice and i feel lyk braking it cos 'da other person' already broke his. so wats da point of keeping mine.
