The feathers come through the lining and through the surface of the coat. Does anybody know how to stop this it is driving me nuts and it was an expensive coat. Thanks

spray static guard and it will keep the feathers from gravitating to the fabric. I think it seems to clump the feathers together a little.

Good luck... If the fabric on the outside of the fabric isn't dense enough, the feathers will continue to come thru. This is the only reason I don't use a feather pillow. Nothing like getting stuck in the face with a feather shaft to make your night restful!

I know this post is quite old, but on the off chance that you get this, can you let me know if the static guard worked? I'm in the same boat - constantly looking like a chicken when I take my coat off and no amount of lint rollering gets all the down off my clothes. I wondered if I should just return the coat or if the static guard worked well enough that I could keep it. Thanks!

Most down products such as pillows, comforters and mattress toppers all do the same thing. It's the nature of the product.
