I live in Indiana. I was wondering if I had to pay rent for the thirty days? I am hoping that because the landlord is kicking us out he is breaching the lease contract, and there for i won't have to pay rent.

I wouldn't give him crap. If you paid a security deposit, he'll probably try to keep it anyway.

I don't live in indiana but in bc you haveto give 60 days for eviction. The only time you can give 30 days is if the tenant has not paid rent, or is causing a disturbance. It seems in your case to be the landlords negligence. If you've been paying your rent on time, and the house is going into foreclosure, that is his problem, not yours. At this point if the house is going into foreclosure, the landlord hasn't used the rent you've been giving him to pay his mortgage. Therefore; if you gave him a damage deposit I would say it's unlikely you will get it back as he seems to be bad with his finances and I would therefore not pay the rent on the last month. Check with your local gov't or online in your community to find out about the tenancy act agreement in your area. You could also consider taking your landlord to court, because he breached the contract and is causing you emotional and financial grief having to move out on such short notice.

does he have your security deposit? most likely if so you will not get it back plus if the house goes to foreclosure and he looses it then no damage you should get the security deposit back but probably not

not the legal answer for you should pay but reality since you probably will not get your security deposit back
