A small semicircle-shaped input device for a computer, with either a wire or a wireless transmitter to connect it to a computer. It has either a ball or an infrared light to tell it how fast and what direction it's moving in. Some have 1, 2, 3 or even 4 different buttons. Most modern mice have 2 buttons and a scroll-wheel, which may click when pressed to activate an easy-scrolling macro on the computer.

A mouse is a handheld pointing device for computers, involving a small object fitted with one or more buttons and shaped to sit naturally under the hand. The underside of the mouse houses a device that detects the mouse's motion relative to the flat surface on which it sits. The mouse's 2D motion is typically translated into the motion of a cursor on the display.

They are sort of bean shaped, made of smooth plastic, and sometimes have a scroll wheel. They may have other features or be cordless, but they all move a corresponding white arrow on the screen when you move the mouse itself.
