She wouldn't give specifics because she is just advancing her own genetic predisposition theory without solid facts.

I believe in free-will, free-agent theory. Every person is free to think as they wish, to react as they wish, to reform themselves as they wish, and in general to exercise sovereignty over their body, mind, and soul (I'm not pretending that I can clearly define the mind or separate from either the body or the soul as an independent entity, but it is quite possible).

All fingerprints have common patterns in a very, very general sense. No fingerprint is identical, even between identical twins. The only people who believe that the lines on the fingers or hands have meaning are palm readers, and your teacher is placing herself solidly in that category.

Now, it is true that 80-95% of inmates are repeat offenders, and can expect to be back in jail shortly after they get out. 95% seems a bit high, but I know that the percentages for re-incarceration are very, very high; that is definitely true. Genetic determinism is a natural, albeit unproven, possibility; a philosophy which many hold to religiously.

No one has yet produced any genetic markers for criminal behavior. You need to switch schools, if what you say is true about your teachers lectures. Perhaps you misunderstood her.
