oh my gawd
we usually took our truck to another oil change company, but when we moved, Jiffy Lube was the only option we had. So I take our truck there, and ask if they have a "full service" option...they said yes, so I said that is what I want. To me "full service" is checking EVERYTHING under the hood, and yes I did ask if they would be checking everything.
2 weeks after the visit...we had to have our transmission replaced. The transmission shop told us that someone had but oil in our transmission.
Needless to say...we didn't have to pay for the new one!

well I am not trying to defend Jiffy Lube in any way but I have to say the I find it impossible for all the oil to leak out of the oil cap hole. I have had cars come in to my shop that haven't had an oil cap on their car for years and at most there is a small amount of oil on the valve cover or on the upper part of the hood. If you drove enough miles to lose all the oil from the oil fill hole then I can tell you that you went way too many miles between oil changes. I wish people would stop posting things like this that are false. It makes not just Jiffy Lube look bad but also any place that changes oil. If you could show me some proof I would apologize and rescind my answer but I do not believe your story and think you are just trying to bad mouth them for whatever reasons you have.

I have had customers come in that have had problems with Iffy Lube. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do an oil change but it takes more than just someone looking for a job and doesn't care what happens.
Sometimes mistakes happen but you need to take fix what you did wrong. We have had some problems that can be traced back to us and we take care of the customer. On the other hand we have had people accuse us of messing up something on their car that we didn't have anything to do with.

I once had my rear differential fluid changed at 'Jippy' Lube and the moron didn't put the plug back. All the fluid blew out and the rear seized up at 60 mph. A real thrill. I had the same problem with there management until I got a lawyer and threatened to sue there raged azzes. They had the gearing replaced and paid for a rebuild of my tranny. by a mechanic of my choice. They'll fold up instead of going to Court just to keep it out of the news.

They stripped the drain plug on my brother's oil pan.
They don't care. Another $8.00 an hour job with a huge insurance company backing them up.

Many, many, many, many people. You're just lucky it wasn't the drain plug they left loose.
