at lunch time i got a bean&cheese burrito and found a hair that wasn't mine in it i'm never getting food from that line again

I can't think of a specific instance, but I'm sure its happened. How about a rubber band in the salad! (happened at my high school cafeteria)

I think everyone has at one time or other.
But I also think that most hair found in the plate of a diner belongs to that customer !! They may or may not realize it, but it is a natural occurance to loose hair at any given time from various parts of the body. I.E. eyelash, eyebrow, head, arm etc.......not really that big a deal.
I think people automatically think it is the fault of the establishment, and a good way to try to get something for free.
Unless it is buried in the food item, obviously from the house, I would never even worry about it.

Yep. Twice at the same Waffle House. The next time we went in there the girl who cooked our food had her hair chopped off.
Hair is gross but being that I didn't eat it either time I wasn't that grossed out by it. They always replaced the meal. Now if it was a bug or a ummm finger, that would be another story.

in general why do people find the issue of hair so disgusting. 99.99 percent of the time it is no big deal.
there is going to be incidental dead skin in food and spittle in food that you will never see.
At least you can remove it.
you should read about acceptable levels of rat feces in chocolate or the pesticides in agricultural products.
As far as I know, nobody has ever died from "hair".
What if you ate an eyelash and never knew?

Yes I was at a chinese buffet with my family and my sister got a couple pieces of fried chicken. There was a piece of hair wrapped totally around her chicken. NASTY!
