In my position, i am constently working with upper management, and they view me highly because i am a great help and the regular employees view me as a brown noser. I guess you can say don't worry about it, but don't really like that type of feeling that i am that type of person. Anyway to be balanced?

It cannot be done . When my employees bring me food from home etc the other employees say they are kissing up to me even though I know they are not. Worker bees can bee so ignorant at times. Just keep on doing it because who is going to push you up in your career, management or nosey worker bees?

If you are equally friendly with your co-workers, most will just view that friendliness and helpfulness as part of your personality. The ones who still hold fast to thinking of you as a brown-noser will most likely be those who spend more effort getting out of doing their job than actually doing it.

Your co-workers are just jealous...and most likely "slackers". I'm a part of management. We can tell when someone is a "brown noser" or when someone is truly busting their butt.
Keep up the good work and don't worry what your co-workers are thinking.

Not really. As long as you are in the favor of the superiors, the inferiors will be jealous. But if you can stay in favor, they'll probably be brown nosing you too before long.
