I hate ugly yeast infections! Can it be caused by drinking to much pop? I know how I gotten it. I was just wondering if that can be a factor.

vaginal yeast infections are caused by Candida albicans, which, along with a few types of bacteria, are normally present in relatively small numbers in your crotch. sometimes the yeast multiply rapidly and take over, causing a full-fledged yeast infection, or, in the heart-warming terminology of the medical establishment, candidiasis or monilia. this can be due to a change in the vaginal environment, injury, sexual transmission, or HIV. common environmental disruptions that favor yeast include increased pH, increased heat and moisture, allergic reactions, elevated sugar levels, hormonal fluxes, and reductions in the populations of bacteria that are normally present. these can generally be traced to a few categories of culprits:

Tight clothing rubbing against you
Certain Antibiotics
Chemicals, such as inks, dyes, and perfumes
Hormones, sometimes influenced by birth control pills
By spremicides on condoms or by sexual transmission
....And having high levels of sugar in your diet (Such as too much SODA POP!)

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Yeast (candidal) organisms are normal residents of the female vagina. Infections are caused by an increase in the number of fungal organisms. A variety of factors contribute to the development of an infection including tissue estrogen level, tissue glucose level, and other local bacterial flora. It is not related to consumption of soft drinks. Although it is not always possible to prevent such infections, they may be easily treated with a generic medication - fluconazole.

leaving on a wet bathing suit, sweating a lot and not washing down there. Also colored toilet paper can give you a yeast infection. My doctor also said if you use 'Light Days' pads everyday, that can effect it. Another is silk underware, wear only cotton and you won't get a yeast infection, or no underware.

it will not alter your cycle in anyway but it can make you more prone to year infections and other kinds of infections as the spermicide can strip away (burn away) the first layer of protecive cells in your genital track. The lube thing is a personal one as well - some people really like it some do not - there are lot of different ones out there to try.
