Why did Georgie swear he'll never relieve 'Rums-fled' from his post? Was Georgie lying again or did Cheney fiire Rummy-the-roadrunner without Georgie's knowledge.

I'm sure he got pushed. When George said he would not fire Rummy, he was still laboring under the false hope that Karl Rove could orchestrate his miracle. Once it became known that the American people didn't support him anymore, George had to start changing tactics.

The GOP is very good at one thing: firing people before the House or Senate Investigations can begin.

From what I've read, he wanted to resign months ago, but Bush and Rove thought that would hurt republicans in the election, so they made him wait until after the election. Since Rummy resigned, you can't pin a lie on Bush for that.

He just quit. He saw that the jig was up, as old-timers say.

He didn't want to get hauled in front of a Democratic Controlled Congress to finally answer for all his BS these past few years.

Pushed. The real powers that be told him to jump, and he said, how high? That's all anyone could do. But I'm glad they did.
