i used to be like that...jus didnt like the thought of carrying things with me, i'd rather wear cargo pants n stuff my cell n wallet in d pockets...
why dont u try sling bags, those r the easiest to carry around, u'll hardly know it's there...there r sporty looking ones to prettier ones...once ur used to that, it'll b easier 2 switch 2 hand or shoulder bags for a trendier look....i'm crazy over bags now...esp. hobo bags!

I can't stand handbags myself, so I purchased a very long strapped crochet bag, so I put it over my one shoulder, so it hangs across my body, so I don't have anything in my hands other than my drink. That way, if you get too drunk, you are less likely to put your bag down and forget. The first thing I used to check for after a night out, was my jewellery was still in my possession and my bag. lol (always was)

Go purse shopping and find one you REALLY LOVE, that is the right size for what you will use it for. Get together your "essentials" i.e. lipgloss/chapstick, cell phone, wallet, hair binders, paper, pen, etc.....things you use on an everyday or almost everyday basis, and put them in your bag. Start bringing the bag with you whenever you need it. You don't have to carry a purse around when you don't need one, but a lot of people do :-/

why dont you start off with a small clutch, then something bigger like a Nine West small purse. start off small and go up, that is the only way you can do it. then buy more purses as your needs increase and as you get use to them. also, think professional and chic and buy something that will make you want to wear it everyday as a handbag! it does not have to be boring or plain! buy something youthful and something that you can actually see yourself wearing down the street!

a handbags a girls best friend. wait til your out partying & dancing round a pile of bags on the dancefloor! you will get used to it just make sure you have every colour to match your outfits!!!!

oh I'm so with you there!! i really don't like them either
i stuff my pockets with all sorts before i carry a bag.
i cant stand them because my shoulders are quite rounded and they fall off and a bag u hold is just as annoying.
i like both hands to be free and my shoulders relaxed, not pain full n tense because I'm trying to balance a bag on it!!
it doesn't make you less lady like not to have one so don't worry any longer x

why don't you try a pouch hand bag, that hangs on your wrist. Im like you girly girly. and don't like hand bags. So I use a pouch/ nand bag it hangs on my wrist, and i get my lippy, cigs, lip liner and mob phone in + a few little extras us girly girls needs. you can get them in all colors. and one good thing I know it will never be stolen when i'm out. party party party

You could carry a wristlet or a clutch bag they aren't big and you can fit all your important and esentials in them.

I have friends that cannot stand using purses and handbags.
But one of mine just started to carry one because she had too much stuff she needed to have places for.
ie. cell phone,makeup,car keys,wallet.

just bring wristlets or clutches thats what i do before i used to bring a tote but that hurts my back alot
