My Daughters being born

Hi Pink H
I once stood at the top of a snow covered valley in Pertisau, Austria; with a panorama of pine clad, snowcapped mountains. At the bottom of the valley was a large lake; from my vantage point it looked like a mirror reflecting an electric blue sky. I was only 12 at the time and looked at this scene with all the wonder and fascination of a child. This image has stayed fresh for 38 years, in fact it is sending chills down my spine and raising goosebumps as i'm writing this. Yep I guess that is the most beautiful thing I ever saw. To this point anyway.

My daughter, then I'm being biased just like most parents.

Honestly though, I have never travelled outside the UK, but extensively in Scotland. I have seen some beautiful sunsets on the Western and Northern Isles.

The one I remember the best is standing at The Standing Stones of Callanish just outside Stornoway and watching the sun setting over the loch. It was desolate, quite and one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.

There is also the granduer of Glen Coe overlooked by the Sisters. A very quite, sombre and eerie place, but still spectacular. Its like it is like the Glen is still in mourning.

Well this one night in Pensacola, Florida there was a beautiful sunset.I was looking over the balconey at the town and at the docks. It looked like a painting. It was just me and this warm weather with the ocean air. It was an amazing feeling and beautiful thing to see.

Sentimental though it may sound, the most beautiful things I have ever seen are my three kids. I was, and still am, in awe of their beauty.

In the early days of my relationship with Steve, I used to watch him sleep. There is nothing like the look of a man you love lying contentedly asleep in your bed.
