i hated it too! Its awful!
Are you running windows XP? if so you can do a system restore and get back to your old version of IE you were running. Thats what I done. you must know when you installed the new internet explorer and simply restore your computer back to a date prior to that. In case your not familiar with the system restore tool here's how its done:

click on start, then all programs
go to accessories, then system tools, then system restore
just choose a date that was before you installed the new program
the program will walk you through the rest, then restart your computer and the new IE should be all gone.

good luck!

Two ways..

1. Go to COntrol panel and uninstall it and re-install the one which you want
2. If you are using WIn XP .. Just Restore your Computer to a day when you had the Working IE 7

Try going onto the control panel and removing it with the add/remove programs function.

before you do that I suggest that you get Mozilla Firefox first. Its a good web browser.
