Hi Danette. This would be a false statement. Examples of lipids that do not contain fatty acids include cholesterol and vitamin E. Fatty acids are lipids, but not all lipids are fatty acids.

Although the term lipid is often used as a synonym for fat, the latter is in fact a subgroup of lipids called triglycerides

so no, not all lipids are fats
