I'm a horrible nail biter. It helps when I have my nails done but I know how bad fake nails are. Any ideas?

Even though you think acrylic nails are bad, I think there are ways to make them not-so-bad. If you get your nails done, not too long, and natural looking then they are too bad for you. A big problem usually is getting them off. What I do is buy 100% acetone. You can get that from wal-mart or Sally's beauty supply. I soak cotton balls in it and place them over my nails and wrap them in foil pieces. Make sure you scratch the surface of your fake nails first. Leave them in the foil for about 10 min. Check them every so often, as they should be loosening up and eventually just come off. If you do this, the top layers of your real nail won't get ripped off like they usually do.

well they have gel nails...but not sure how bad they are like acrylic ones are.
