I hope from reading most of these answers that you're not some little thug out to prove a point that you can do what you like and no one is going to interfere. as that seems to be the message, but to answer your question ,no I wouldn't and isnt that a sad reflection on todays society.

change the bus shelter for a person and I dont know that the responses would be much different.

we had a bus stop shelter once and the man who lives near it went out and tried to stop them so they took their vandalisation out on him instead then went back to destroy the shelter after the police was gone

Not directly, but I would call the police and report the vandalism. I can't be of any assistance to anyone if I've been beaten up so badly that I can't function.

But I can certainly give the police a description and testify in court. The shelter can be rebuilt, but no one can replace a human life.

Nope. I sat through a personal safety training today and the moral of the story was "call the police." I would not step in lest they decide they should vandalize me. I'd try to get a good look at them and would call the police. Maybe take a pic if I could do so safely.

Nope, I feel that would definitely be foolish, extremely dangerous and very likely a waste of time. If you're in England some areas have a new pilot police scheme whereby you can call 101 for less serious crimes such as vandalism.

no not for a bus shelter, the lovely youths would probably kick your head in.

if it was a person i would intervene even if it was just ringing the police from a distance and letting them know they'd been seen

people are more important then property

If I was driving by and saw it I would wave my cell @ them & tell them the cops were on the way.

Otherwise, if I was walking by, nope. I don't think a bus stop would be worth getting the crap kicked out of me.

youths??? Providing they are under 9 they may not pull a knife on you, if older they are sure to. The bus stop is run by a private company who couldn't give a damm abot you, why should you

Yep i'd have to say something, can't stand worthless vandalism. But then again if i was by myself and it was in a secluded dark area it would depend on how many of them there were and on how old they were. You just don't know what they could do

If I felt up to a fight. Most of those buggers turn on you with the 'coc k of the walk' attitide because they think they're regular badasses...

I would be less inclined if it was a scary neighborhood, but of course I always have my knuckles, but if they had a heater...

it depends, really..
