Put your head in the sink and run alternating hot and then cold water over your head for a few minutes. If you want to massage your head at the same time, add shampoo and wash your hair at the same time. Finish with a cold rinse, wrap your head in a towel and lay down. This almost always works for me.

For preventing killer headaches, go to a health food store and pick up a bottle of feverfew capsules or feverfew tea. Take one capsule or drink one cup of feverfew tea once a day every day to keep headaches from coming on in the first place. Nobody knows why it works, it just does. Do not attempt to take a feverfew capsule after you get a headache, it won't help. It is a preventive rather than a cure.

Fast To Relieve Your Headache.

All good answers and I know some work. Can you figure out what caused (causes) your headache? Actually, there are about 5 different kinds of headaches.

Figure the cause and you can relieve it quicker without drugs. OR prevent it the next time.
I get headaches from low blood sugar if I don't eat regularly.
I also get headaches when I don't drink enough water.
Stress (in the neck) is also a cause. Hormones can play a part.
Good luck.

I get REALLY bad headaches so times and this is what always works for me. There is a pressure paint between your thumb and your index finger. If you press in the space between there it will go away. You will know when you are pressing the excat spot because it will hurt a little bit but it probably is nothing compared to your headache. I hope you feel better

Hopefully this is the best answer for you... Figure out if it's actually your neck muscles that are causing your headaches. Give yourself a massage on the neck, squeeze and apply pressure to the neck muscles from the base of the skull down to your shoulders. Also apply pressure to the muscles on the side of your jaw or at your temples. If any of these areas are recreating the pain continue massaging those muscles until the pain decreases.

9 times out of 10 headaches are caused by muscles referring pain into the head. If not it could have to do with your circulatory system and your stress may be manifesting in that way rather than tense neck and jaw muscle from clenching. A migraine may be your problem too or you may be dehydrated.

You have not given other details of age and symptoms if any.
Headache is due to accumulation of cough obstructing blood circulation, obstruction in the flow of Vital Energy or pressure on nerve.
If you have commoncold then straight way go on fast or steamed pulses only. Because there is no medicine in the world to treat it. For other reasons go to an acupuncturist because there is no treatment with other therapies.

Drink a large glass of water, take a couple Tylenol's and lay down and close your eyes for 1/2 hour (if possible). Also, do the finger trick as was described before.

You might have a food allergy that is causing these headaches. When I eat regular ice cream I can sometimes feel a headache come on. Try switching to organic dairy products and see if this helps. In my case it really did.

It could be a lot of things and a homeopathic doctor might be able to to help you.
