Does anyone know what the schools are like in Colorado? I am looking to live in an area where there isn't any added stress on the teachers (provided I continue teaching)...Also, would it be hard to get a job as a teacher or a guidance counselor there?

I'm not saying that I don't want any stress at all. It's just that where I live, teachers seem to have ADDED stress...

It's hard to generalize about Colorado because there is a big difference between the Denver metropolitan area and the more remote parts of the state.
Being a teacher in Denver is probably as stressful as in any large city. Might be nice to teach in a ski resort town like Aspen, though!

Colorado is great, I doubt that you will ever find a teaching job that has no stress! My daughter is a freshman in the Denver metro area and loves her school and most of her teachers they seem to like teaching too ! They are there for her when she needs them. If that's what you mean by added stress its here too!
