You can drive 10 hours a day twice a week if you are on tacho.The other days must not exceed 9 hours driving.Now it gets complicated.
You can work 15 hours a day and drive no more than ten hours in that time.You can then take a minimum of 9 hours off and then work another 10 hour driving/15 hour working day.You can work 15 hours a day 5/6 days a week then take 36 hours off then start all over again,Now for the EU meddling bit.
The EU say you can only work an average 48 hours duty.This is called "availability". As i am anonymouse on here i will say that i think that a degree of massaging of the figures goes on.

Only tacho vehicles are covered by driving hour regs. White van man can do 150 hours a week- probably why he's in a hurry!

if your a HGV 1 the answer is 10 hours but if your really dedicated to driving my wife has been driving me mad for the last 10 years

ten hours for hgvs and psv some small company's will use a tachograph,the best thing to do is stop driving and take a rest when tied
