Great show. It gets trickier each time you watch it. I think the Chief is the Ice truck Killer and the brother of Dexter's first victim the nurse who treated his adoptive father.

I really love the show, have from the beginning. I like the idea another answerer gave that the Chief is the killer and the nurses brother. I never would have thought of that (or at least not this early into the show).

Yes, I love it. His character is so different from the one he played in Six Feet Deep, but that's what makes him unique.
