i agree that they're overrated. they have a particularly weak schedule. pollsters are giving them credit for improving during the season, but the main problem is that the way the polls work, if you get a top spot early, you hold it unless you lose. i think texas has a chance to prove that it deserves the ranking in the next few weeks, but i would like to see a deserving team run the table (Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, maybe even USC or Cal) and jump above Texas in the rankings. www.benfunkelongboards.com / nfrmain

A) Check the box score on the Bucks game, it was a lot closer than the score indicates. And that was with a Frosh QB in his second ever start. Turn overs and a rookie mistake by the brothers Griffin at the end of the first half inflated the score.
B) We'd have beat OU anyway as Bohmar isn't that good. AD is the player on that team, and I'm just glad we got to play them with him at full strength. Mad props to Bob for doing so much with that team this year.
C) Mike Vick wears Vince Young underwear. 3000 yards passing + 1000 yards rushing. NO QB has EVER done that in DIV1A football. No player in the history of CFB has EVER dominated a single game like Vince did against USC.
D) We might be a bit overrated this year, and no matter what happens, I sincerly think we do not deserve to be in the Title game this year. The 2 best teams in the country are in the Big 10 right now and will play soon.
E) Texas creates luck.
F) The question is, other than OSU or Mich, who would really want to play Texas RIGHT NOW. We are peaking at the exact right time
G) Nebraska is going to killed in the Big XII title game.

Very overrated!! They can move up and teams like Notre Dame and California cant! Michigan barely beats Ball State and Ohio St. cant blow out Illinois! Texas should have lost at least three games but late rallies pulled them through! Texas WILL sneak in the back door when Louisville loses tonight and Michigan beats Ohio St. if they can win out! Oh well, that is the great BCS!

how can the defending national champs be overrated? 24-7 is NOT a blowout. there is no such school as north texas state. it was 28 degrees and snowing in nebraska. and so what if bomar is gone, paul thompson is twice the QB that he was and we still beat them. yeah we did have a pretty weak preseason schedule with NT, Rice and Sam Houston but the big 12 is nothing to joke around about. everyone go ahead and talk about vince young being gone but colt is twice the quarterback (not athlete) that vince was and he will take us back to the promised land. maybe not this year but he will. my question is does louisville deserve to be in the top 10???? they havent beaten anyone this year and the ranked teams they beat were only ranked because they were undefeated and they hadnt beat anyone either. if we win out then i do believe we have a good shot of being in the title game. TEXAS FIGHT!

I have only watched 1 other Texas game besides the one against my Buckeyes, and I thought they looked good. McCoy is doing great. I guess that I really haven't followed that closely. I mean hey, when you are the LEAD DOG, you don't spend much time looking behind. I would love to see a rematch between Texas and OSU. I hear so many talk about how it's a different team now. How McCoy has grown etc,. It might not be realistic, but I have said that they are as deserving as any other team.

tough question...
although texas is a pretty good team, i'll agree that they are slightly overrated. i'm hoping for nebraska to kick their butts in the big 12 title game.
i hate texas!
