The Giants will make every effort to keep him. They want him to break Aaron's record as a Giant. The revenue is important to the Giants as well as baseball. If for whatever reason he doesn't play for the Giants he will most likely go to an American League team as a DH. The steroids have taken a toll on his knees so the less he has to play the field the better for him. As far as his effect on any team his plays for, he will isolate himself from the other players as he has done throughout his career. This does cause a negative effect via the fact that his teams never win with the exception of one pennant. Remember, he's only in it to break Aaron's record..........that's it!!

I'd be more than happy to see him sign with my Toronto Blue Jays. After seeing guys like Shea Hillenbrand and Gregg Zaun wasting the DH spot over the past year, a player of Bonds' caliber would be a huge upgrade. I know he's not the player he was, but he's still got some power and gets on base at about a .420-.440 clip, which is among the elite.

As far as his effect on the team, I wouldn't expect that he'd poison the atmosphere. I know he's not a good guy, but I also think that chemistry is often overrated. The Oakland A's of the early '70s had some of the worst clubhouse chemistry in the history of the game, but they won 3 straight World Series titles.

Bonds could help my team win, which is ultimately what matters. I'd trade the nice guys for jerks anytime, if it meant winning.

i could be better than happy to look him sign with my Toronto Blue Jays. After seeing adult males like Shea Hillenbrand and Gregg Zaun dropping the DH spot over the previous 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, a participant of Bonds' high quality could be a considerable improve. I comprehend he isn't the participant he grew to become into as quickly as, even though he's even though obtained some vigor and gets on base at approximately a .420-.440 clip, that's with out doubt between the elite. As a techniques as his end result on the staff, i does not assume that he'd poison our surroundings. I comprehend he isn't a properly guy, even though I additionally think that chemistry is regularly puffed up. The Oakland A's of the early '70s had between the essential worst clubhouse chemistry in the historic previous of the sport, even though they won 3 at present day international sequence titles. Bonds would desire to assist my group win, it is ultimately what themes. i could substitute the marvelous adult males for jerks each and every time, if it meant effectual.

The American League for sure as a DH. Positive effect, he would be a stud as a DH. Every time he coes to bat. Imagine him batting in between Manny and Big Poppi in Boston with that short left field wall. PS::::: To all you Bond haters even if he did take some kind of steroids(which I admit more than likely he did) he wasnt the freakin only one. People need to lay off Bonds. Wherever he plays next year he gonna put people in the seats.. He will hit over .300 and hit 30 to 40 homers if healthy..

The only team that will take him is the SF Giants....any other team will only play him as a DH because he is always getting injured and it is too mucj of a risk to put him in the outfield...but Bonds already said he did not want to play DH and besides no one is going to want to pay his salary except the Giants!!! so i think he is going to stay with the Giants!!!

If Barry Bonds plays next year, I still see him playing for the San Francisco Giants.

The last I heard it looks like it may be the Oakland A's. It keeps Bonds in the Bay area where he has a huge fan base, he'll be able to DH which should save his knee for an entire season, and most of all he would be a big box office draw for the A's so he'll basically pay for himself.

Who cares, the guy is a steroid freak and needs to be banned from baseball immortatily. He is not a homerun king, hell Ruth and Aaron were much better players, put those two on steroids and Bonds would be miles behind yet. He is more of a disgrace to baseball than Pete Rose and look what he got for life.
