In December I'm going to play "The Rain Song" Live. It is perhaps my favorite Led Zeppelin song.
But if I had super amazing skills I'd play Glasgow Kiss by John Petrucci. That song is near impossible. Even Petrucci himself doesn't play it as well live as he does for the CD.

In no particular order....American Girl by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Come To My Window by Melissa Ethridge. I Remember You by Skid Row. HotBlooded by Foreigner. Those are just a few of the songs that have been "bar / table" tested.

METALLICA. Yep. Anything by them. GOD. That would be so intense. A dream come true. Would I get to be in the band with them too? WOW.
I guess I'd say I'd pick Whiplash...
(or Last Carress, Damage Inc, or Master of Puppets, or ..need i say more, I LOVE THEM.)
Ps. I'd play any instrument on that. Cuz they all sound perfect to me and I could feel it ........

Pat Benatard - Love is a Battlefield!
Or
Lionel Richie - Endless Love!
There's so many more I'd love to be able to perfom. Music has always been a major part of my life. There's always a song out there that we can relate to. Either emotionally or just through the music itself. I've always been amazed at REAL TALENT. And damn, I wish I were one of the lucky few blessed with the talent of SOMETHING! lol
Great question!

ill pick three cause 1 is too limited:
1. "love on the rock" by niel diamond. it has a beautiful melody and i love his voice, deep and rich, something a bit like mine. i sang it once at a karioki bar, and it wasnt too bad.
2. "who want to live forever" by queen. its such a moving sad song, that you cannot be untouched by it.
3. "barstool blues" by neil young. its just a fun song that i think could sound great even if you cant carry a tune, but just hollar into the mike.
ps - at any other day i could have picked totally different choices, but these felt right today.

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps", George Harrisons' epic contribution to the Beatles' "White Album" and perhaps one of the most poignant songs in the last 30 years.
