There are 2 ways to tell. The first, and most reliable way is to take the snake to an experienced reptile veterinarian that can probe it. That involves putting a thin metal rod into the vent (opening at the base of the tail on the underside of your snake) and counting how many scales it goes in. On a female the rod will barely go in, on a male it will go in further.
The second way to tell is by looking at the tail shape. The vent is generally where the tail starts. If, after the vent, the tail tapers quickly and ends, you have a female. If the tail is longer, tapers gradually, and then ends, you have a male. This is easy to see if you've had some experience with snakes, but fairly hard to do for a beginner.
If in doubt, go see a vet.

generally, that is tremendously puzzling to verify for your self if your puppy snake is lady or male, so which you will try going to a expert to envision that is gender. generally, maximum puppy shops accomplish that. yet you are able to style of wager, even with the undeniable fact that that is on no account one hundred% precise. generally, grownup lady corn snakes are allot longer and thinner jointly as grownup Male corn snakes are a sprint fatter and in case you look close to the top of his tail, you will see that it is going vast, then without notice small, then that is in all possibility a male. yet having reported that, i think of it may well be plenty greater user-friendly merely getting it checked with the help of a expert then your self.
