find out their area and if they need things that are realistic.. they might enjoy some Irish Whiskey - for medicinal purposes of course. some china WITH the shamrocks - can't spell the type Bellike. forget chrytal - they have a ton there already. what night be nice are some sweaters or shawls made from the rich wool of your country. while Poland has their own shalws and sweater styles - something from another country is always special. that or maybe a throw blanket.

I am Polish and let me tell you, we love good food and good drink. Also, the older set like to collect random knick-knacks. So I think a lovely bottle of wine and perhaps a trinket or a blanket from Ireland would be perfect. And flowers are always nice, but if you think it's overdoing it, then don't. Hope this helps!

Why don't you ask your friend what she thinks they might like or try and find out if there is anything that is difficult to find in the shops in Poland, some little luxury item.

Is your friend a boyfriend or girlfriend? Yes, then find a chance to give them a massage when you are into a chat, its free. No, then give them a health tonic or some chinese herbal tea, its exotic.

How about a great bottle of Irish whiskey - or something hand made of lace, like a beautiful handkerchief?
