babies have small stomachs, and high nutrient requirements. This makes it hard for them to get all the food they need. Every feeding is extremely imporant, and wasting a feeding by replacing milk or formula with a surgary sports drink is never a good idea.
In most cases even a sick baby gets all the hydration it needs from formula. A baby eating solids might have a need, when ill, for extra fluids, in the form of pediasure or in some cases plain water.
Nothing will "happen" if you give a baby powerade, its just not good practice, and takes away vital nutrients from your baby for that day.
