Yes. Why not? It's a pretty harmless thing to do, as mid-life crises go - go for it!
(Be warned; it hurts! I got my second pair of holes pierced while I was away on holiday, touring on my motorcycle - I had to stay an extra day where I was, 'cos I couldn't put my helmet on! Time obviously dulls the memory of pain!)

... and your navel, your nose - whatever you like. AND, as a right of passage, you DEFINITELY need a tattoo. One is enough. It's a statement that says "I own my body!" And you may drag this mid-life crisis out for at least 10 years - well, however long it takes for you to convince everyone in your life that you no longer care what anyone thinks, you've paid your dues, and now you're going to REALLY enjoy life!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to a new beginning. 2nd, you never pierced your ears? Or you just want to add another piercing to one of your ears? If so, go for it. It's never too late to do what you want in life. Have fun, enjoy life as long as you're living it. I wish you well.

Do what you want. Left ear is for straight, right ear is for other, and both are acceptable.
I bought a convertible, learned how to ride a motorcycle (and bought two Harley's) and the went skydiving...and I'm only 46!!!!! Zip lines and canopy tours are next on my list!!!!

I generally don't respect men with pierced ears. You may lose some people's respect but if its going to make you happier do it. But I wouldn't.
