Yes you can. A great way to help them sprout and to get better germination rate is to use bottom heat. If you have a greenhouse or a garden shed with a bench you can put a heater under it and set the thermostat to 80 degrees. After they have a good amount of roots you can remove the bottom heat. Be sure to plant more seeds then you want trees bucause some may not sprout.

Yes as a matter of fact you can...my mother has two trees planted in her yard, both orange trees she has grown from seed. She's also started a lemon tree. Now whether the oranges/lemons that come from these plants are like their commercial parents I cannot say. I don't know if they graft citrus trees like they do apple trees and other fruit trees. Typically It takes 7-8 years before these trees fruit, so it is a wait before you get any fruit from your home started tree.

Yes, you can throw them in a pot w/ soil and sprout them. However, you may end up w/ something like sour oranges years from now when it fruits. It takes 5-7 years for them to fruit. In my area, a citrus tree costs about $15. Well worth the investment. I have several lemon trees and kumquat trees.

Absolutely! Put some miracle grow from the walmart garden center in a pot, water it and keep from freezing this time of year. When it gets about 2 feet high, or in the spring, plant it where you want it.
