If you think you know it pretty well… then good, you can help me out here. Can you please tell me what this wavy dash symbol is called (~)? On a standard American keyboard, it is directly to the left of the number 1 and under the “Esc” key.

I know that this => (&) is called the ampersand, this => (-) is called a hyphen or dash, and this => (*) is called an asterisk, but I realized I have no idea what that wavy symbol is called – and I cannot find it online. Ha Ha! So if you could tell me that would be great. Thanks.
