My daughter will be 7 months in 4 days. What are some ideas of foods that I can feed her?
What are some foods that you have fed your 7 month old?
Easy to digest and good for her age?
I have already given her rice cereal, some mashed up bananas, papaya, a bit of apple juice etc...

With my oldest I started with more "mild flavored" vegetables first- carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, and potatoes. Once she was used to the vegtables I introduced her to fruit apples, pears, and bananas! Then when she was used to the fruits and vegtables both I added some minced meat & poultry! Take it one step at a time!
Step 3 foods- gerber lil entree's are great! The gerber fruit or veggie puffs or even the biter biscuits are great finger foods too!

At this age, the baby's liver has used up the stored iron they had from you in he womb. So they need food that are high in iron. She can eat anything you eat, except honey and whole milk, if you mash it up for her. Use a blender or get one of those smaller appliances that mashes things. I had a little one when my kids were babies and it was soooooo convenient! I just fed her what we were eating and focused on peas, green beans, and other high iron foods, including meat. I would not serve a lot of beef, but a little bite here and there is fine. Poultry is good too. She can also handle cookies for babies that help with teething.

She needs a balanced diet just like you and I do, so mix it up a bit, but make sure she gets iron from natural sources. The iron-fortified cereals do not digest as well to absorb the iron as a food that has it naturally. Green, leafy veggies, beans, etc. are good sources of iron too.

My daughter is 7 months too, here is some of the things we feed her: mashed potatoes, mack and cheese, Top Ramon noodles(her favorite), scrambled eggs, pancakes, baby cookies, crackers, re fried beans (just a little so she doesn't get gassy), Cheerios, apple sauce, and most kinds of pastas.

Any fruit or veggies you want.

You can start to introduce meat as well.

IMO grains are too hard to digest until around 9 months of age.

Signs that the food isn't tolerated:
Stinky poop
Spitting up
Rashes, especially diaper rashes.

Pasta with cheese, pasta with minced meat - my boy is pasta crazy! Also loves butternut, sweet potatoes etc. Fish, weetabix, breadsticks. Does she like fingerfoods?
