In the hand: you could still walk to safety/away from the gunman, still be able to dial 911. Keep pressure on the wound while moving, elevate wound above your heart, and most importantly would not risk severing any major vessels as you would with the leg and behind and shoulder.

Getting shot *anywhere* is dangerous because infection and septicemia (blood poisoning) can result, even if you don't bleed out.
I would imagine that having your earlobe shot off would be the least dangerous... although I wouldn't risk getting shot near the head to find out! Maybe your little finger too. I would say little toe, but that could get infected easily being inside a shoe.
I read the answers that came in while I was typing... I like the "hair" answer--you'd definitely survive that!

If I had to get shot and got to pick I choose the finger. The reason is even if I am alone I could take care of my self until I was able to get help

since the right leg has a major artery, the left arm has a major artery, the head doesnt seem like a good place to get shot, and the belly region has vital organs.

You can pretty much survive getting shot anywhere but the vital organs, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, etc.

On the limbs, as they don't contain any vital organs like the torso and head do.
