We are only at the speculation stage, so names are being flung about with no commitment from anyone

And the nominees are:
Governor Bill Richardson, the Democratic Party;
Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, the Republican Party;
Senator Barack Obama, the Democratic Party;
Senator John McCain, the Republican Party;
Senator Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party
These are my official picks, for those who stand a chance at winning. There might be some who are more qualified, but don't have the name recognition and/or ambition to be President.

Way too soon to tell. We don't even know who is running yet. If history is a guide, a Dem. In 4 of the last 5 elections in which a president has retired, the White House has switched parties. The only exception was 1988.

I expect Senator Mc Cain to win the next election for President,
especially if the Democrats choose Hillary Clinton or Kerry.

Unless you are a programmer with Diebold no one knows. More seriously that will be the undoing of a ton of ink, tons of paper and many hours of pundits and would-be pundits. I think for the first time you would have to say s/he belong to. There are maybe 10 or 20 individuals who have a chance of whom you will hear more and more as the games now begin. Many now are planning skiing trips to New Hampshire.

Isn't it a little early to be predicting the winner in the 2008 election, when we don't even know who the candidates are, and before any primaries or nominations?

Well that is a difficult question.
The average American has no idea why they are voting much less the actual understanding of what their candidate actually believes.
So, who knows what these crazy voters will vote for? It could be anyone depending on who the major networks tell these idiots is good. They won't think for themselves or do homework on the issues. Now we have idiots in control and God help us all.
And I might also say to everyone who voted for Dems....
you will get what you deserve, higher taxes, more terror, fighting, pork-barreling, finger-pointing, and higher spending. Oh that's right, you won't have your wallets open because you don't pay taxes you take handouts from the rest of us.

It is too early to tell but my money is on Evan Bayh, Indiana Senator, Bill Richardson, New Mexico Governor, or a Moderate Republican such a Pataki or McCain (if somehow a moderate can win the Republican nomination)

He is not on the scene yet and I have forgotten his last name
First name Mitt. I think he is from Vermont. Could be Lindsey for last name.
Republican would be Jebb. I don't think the bush league would have it any other way. The U.S. must continue to be in control of the U.S.A.

It's a little early to be expecting anything, just pray Hillary doesn't win the nomination, because then we'll have yet another republican.
